Typically, the aromas range from ash, fruity-sweet to dried fruit aromas. Some oolongs also develop a mineral note.

Sweet gardenia aromas, honey notes and stone fruits such as apricots and peaches are typical.

Typical are nutty, roasted notes which are complemented by the typical malty Assam flavors.
